Curved surface sliding isolators of the FP series are metal devices that create a series of curved sliding surfaces whose radius of curvature is designed depending on the fundamental period of the structure that needs to be isolated.
The sliding between convex and concave surfaces happens through the connection of a surface made in a specific material with a small and checked amount of friction and stainless steel. They can be with simple (FSP) or with double curvature (FDP). The damping of these devices goes from a minimum of 15% up to 40%.
